FEES
Residential courses cost £380 - includes training and full board.
Add an extra £35 for B&B if you would like to book a room for the night before the course to enable the 9.00 a.m. start.
Non-residential courses £280 - includes training and meals.
Cheques should be made out to Godly Play UK.
The courses are led by accredited members of the College of Trainers of Godly Play UK.
Over 3 days (minimum 25 hours training) you will develop your practice and understanding of the art of Godly Play.
The training follows an action/reflection model of learning. There is a mixture of trainer-led presentations in each genre, and participant storytelling presentations.
We work in a model Godly Play environment, with the opportunity to see a comprehensive set of resources.
Each day explores one of the primary religious genres of Godly Play: sacred stories, parables and liturgical lessons.
Workshops in the core module also cover:
- Setting up a Godly Play Environment
- The Theology of Childhood
- Your particular concerns and questions.
At previous courses participants have included:
- Children's Work Advisers
- Clergy
- Sunday School Teachers
- School/Head teachers
- those wishing to make connections with Godly Play and adult learning and growth
Courses have been enriched by a broad mix of Christian denominations.
Courses are open to all - although it does help to have had some introduction to Godly Play beforehand.
The fees include food, board, training and an extensive participant folder.
Places are limited to 12 per course, (with extra demand we can take 14).
This is a certificated course, accredited by Godly Play UK and the Centre for the Theology of Childhood.
Please note this course does not provide you with skills to act as a Godly Play trainer.
Details about the course/venues/timings etc. are sent about 4 weeks beforehand. To check availability contact Sheila Rogers at sheila.rogers@talktalk.net
